About Me

Welcome to this little spot of the gargantuan Internet that I get to call my own! I’m so very excited to meet you, reader, and I hope you enjoy your time here and come back often!

If you’re here to learn a little more about me, I apologize. I’m content with being a mysterious girl named Sara who lives in the States and adores old books and peregrinating (I also have a great respect for archaic words that often earn me peculiar looks when I use them in my usual diction).

Just as I’d show a friend around my house, I’d like to give you a little introduction to this blog. This is space where I get to share most and least favorite books, my adventures in this beautiful we live in, and a few stray tidbits that I like to call ‘Detours’.

If you’re interested in reading a quick paragraph or two on a certain city, check out my ‘Introduction’ posts. If you want to know a little more about a place I’ve visited, read my ‘Adventure’ posts. Are you considering diving into a book but aren’t sure whether it’s worth the time? Peek into my book reviews and see if my descriptions strike your fancy! And if you’re in the mood to read a more haphazard, diary-style post, be sure to peruse my ‘Detours’. It’s such fun to document my adventures at estate sales, my favorite recipes that I’ve picked up on my travels, and, my most beloved book sale tips, as well as insights into what treasures I’ve found there. If you haven’t already picked it up, I am an absolute bibliomaniac (in the most normal way…at least I hope!) and if you want to see what books I’m currently burrowing into, check out my home page!

So if you’re interested in travels and tomes, adventures and anecdotes, read on! And even if these sorts of things aren’t your cup of Moroccan mint tea, don’t worry; everything is worth a try, and you may be pleasantly surprised with what you find!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Days!

Sara
